Design for Water Conservation: Computer control over 92 acres operates more than 250 irrigation zones nightly. Water is applied in three calibrated cycles, matching soil infiltration rates and minimizing run off.

Phase 1 Value Analysis: Minimal use areas receive reduced irrigation coverage. Turf boundaries are adjusted to coincide with efficient head layout patterns. Control of flow volumes allowed significant size reductions in irrigation piping.

Landscape Approach: Visitor and staff courtyards, administration areas and minimum security include developed landscape. Trees are spaced to prevent access to walls. Turf is used to allow unobstructed views from guard positions.
